CT1 l2.exe patch[Solution] - Page 10

Hi all,

The whole procedure has become a bit messy and i decided to compile a guide .. I also packed all needed files into a zip. Download the zip from one of the following locations or get l2encdec_291 and l2.na.rar from the locations mentioned at previous posts.

Unzip the file and

1) Start from a fresh state
a.Completely remove Lineage II system folder and run a full check files (Tested at 16 March 2008)
b.Run the game and check that everything works as ussual
c.Reboot

2) Copy patcher.exe and l2encdec.exe (from Patch Files 20080316) to Lineage II system folder
3) Start a command prompt at Lineage II folder
4) Run patcher.exe and let it run. After some time it will finish with a message "Press any key to exit." Press any key

and leave the command window open
5) Copy l2.exe (from Patch Files 20080316) and overwrite the original

6) From the command prompt opened at step 3 run

l2encdec.exe -s user.ini user_new.ini

Then edit user_new.ini with notepad, go to Section [Engine.Input] find the line that reads ";Pause=Pause" and change it to "Pause=set Engine.LineagePlayerController MaxZoomingDist 65535", save file, exit notepad turn back to command prompt and run

l2encdec.exe -h 413 user_new.ini user.ini

to revert user.ini to its old state

Repeat for l2.ini as follows

l2encdec.exe -s l2.ini l2_new.ini

Find the following sections at 2_new.ini and change accordingly

[CharacterDisplay]
Dist=9999

[ClippingRange]
Terrain=9.0
Pawn=9.0
Actor=9.0

When finished save the file and run

l2encdec.exe -h 413 l2_new.ini l2.ini

Edit the file Option.ini and change at values as shown

[ClippingRange]
Terrain=9.000000
Actor=9.000000
Pawn=9.000000

When finished save the file.

Cross your fingers and run Lineage II from l2.exe inside system folder. From IG use the shortcut alt+pause to enable the mod. Now you should be able to have infinite zoom out and see all mobs/chars titles regardless to the distance.

Tested at 16 March 2008 with a fully updated client

I've tried it multiple times and cannot get infinite zoom to work. bummer, thanks for your time.

Server does NOT send information about characters and NPC that are more than 5k distance away from You.
Setting NameDist to 10k is pointless.

What

[ClippingRange]
Terrain=9.0
Pawn=9.0
Actor=9.0

Supposed to do?

Did u press the alt+pause combo before zooming out ? U must "enable" it before use it .. Alt+Pause keystroke enables it.

I'd posted a copy l2.exe for CT1 a few weeks ago that I'd unpacked from the Themida, it didn't work for some. I believe to have fixed the problem, and this copy should work for everyone - please let me know if it doesn't.

l2.exe is not patched by default since 290
please use loaderct1.exe or force with -n

but I run loaderct1.exe, there is a error messagebox "Themdia", cannot find window.dll...

My client is Kamael ver, what about you?

Kamael+ PTS server is up now.
All the stuff for CT1 works fine for CT1 addon.

Patch message is fine .. Don't need to worry about that .. All see the same message .. About the loader stuff .. You don't need the loader, actually loader wont work cause you use a different l2.exe, the one that is cracked already. Loader "works" with ncsoft's l2.exe, not the one packed in the zip file that's already cracked by syphia. Just run the game by double clicking the alternate l2.exe that u should copy from the .zip file toy your Lineage2 system folder.
