L2 Replay Client

Hello, if you have used the C4 replay client you will see that you can't see player names in it. it is hard to enjoy the replay without names or clan tags. I believe in Korean PTS you were able to see the names, clan tags, as well as inventory, character skills/stats, etc. I believe instead of fixing this, NCsoft simply "disabled" these windows (i.e. force the replay to replay in "alt+h" mode with everything hidden).

I opened the .l2r file that replays are saved in, and discovered that the replays DO store the character names. However I do not know how to edit the functionality of the replay manager that is in the L2 client. I have not done much L2 hacking, but I figure you guys have. (I have played with l2encdec before, but Ihave no clue what the l2asm is for). If you guys could help that would be great.

I'm pretty sure, because I was telling people you could see people's inventories and levels and stuff. I'm asking a few people if they remember it.

Can you explain how to got to the point where you could see the characters names? Also could you see clan tags?

if you open the .l2r file in notepad or a text editor, you can see the character names in plain text.

Hmm, I just opened a replay I made and it's all encrypted... I don't see my char's name anywhere.

It's there - as unicode.

so nobody knows? :(
