This is the documentation of the l2drop sniffer tool released by L2WH.

1: What is this program for ?
This program will generate locally on your computer a file of
all items the mobs dropped in your L2 session.
And thus you can upload it to L2WH, to create an up to date drop database.
It also create files for your inventory,WH,Clan WH and equipped gear.
It can also log all messages in a file if you wish .
2: How does it work, and how do I know this is not a keylogger
The program works by sniffing packets on your network card.
As soon as the server send you drop infos, the program see
the packets and grab them into a file .
Of course, this is not a key logger, and it does not send any
packet to the Internet (if Mammon reporter is not disabled)
If you have a firewall installed on your computer, you can safely
deny all internet access to l2drop.exe (if Mammon reporter is disabled)

3: How to do the first install ?
Follow the following steps:
a: Double click on WinPcap_4_0.exe this will install WinPcap DLLs, they are needed .
b: Reboot.
c: Copy l2drop.exe where you want .
d: Click on "Setup" button.
e: Type in your L2WH login and LineageII.exe path
if you don't have a L2WH account yet, just create one it's FREE.

4: How to do an upgrade
Follow the following step:
a: overwrite the old l2drop.exe with the new one.
5: How to uninstall ?
Follow the 2 following steps:
a: delete l2drop.exe
b: Go on Add/remove programs and remove WinPcap.
6: How to use ?
Follow the following steps:
a: Run l2drop.exe (double click on it)
b: Click on "Run L2"
c: Play as normal
d: Quit L2
e: Click on "upload drops"
f: Select the file L2WH_Drop.dat and upload it
Nota: if you are afraid of password stealing, you can start l2drop
after you logged in, but before you select your server .
7: How to upload data ?
Easy, click on "Upload Drops", a browser will be launched .
and select the file L2Drops.dat located where l2drop.exe is .
If you are a user of the Warehouse manager, you'll find also generated .csv files containing recipes,your equipement,your wh.
If you want to use them, just login to Warehouse Manager and click on import tab.
8: Advanced options.
Shops searcher:
L2drop can now search items found on players sellers/buyers shops.
To use this feature, just press the keys (b) for buyers shops or (s) for sellers shops and type the item name (or a part of) you search .
L2Drop will display you all items+prices found that match your request.
Keep in mind that L2drop only know items prices of shops you opened ingame, thus to use this feature wisely, run at Giran and open all shops, then use the feature to browse the market.
Mammon Reporter:
L2drop can now report some NPC such BS of Mammon
to L2WH main site via Internet in real time .
Please note that this feature make l2drop to connect to Internet.
You can disable this feature in the setup .
Upload authentication:
You can authenticate your uploads if you want (it's not mandatory),
Just click on Setup and type your login in the "L2WH login" field.
if you don't have one, just create one on http://www.l2wh.com/new.php it's FREE .
Damages logging:
You can ask l2drop to log all damages in a text readable format.
To activate this feature, just click on setup and select the radio box named "Log Damages". If this feature is enabled, the data will be logged in a file named "L2WH_DamageLog.txt"
Messages logging:
You can ask l2drop to log all messages in a text readable format.
To activate this feature, just click on setup and select the radio boxes
related to the channels you want to log .
You also can specify a logging pattern in the pattern field.
if you do so, only messages that contain the pattern will be logged
thus, putting WTS in the pattern field will only log messages that contain the string WTS (pattern is not case sensitive) .
9: How to report bugs ?
Please, report bugs on the official forum of L2WH, ie http://www.l2wh.com/forum
on the section "bugs" .
10: Known Incompatibilies.
- Only NCSOFT official North America & Russian servers are supported.
- Some Wireless cards are not supported.
- Some networks cards are incompatible ...
